PROJECT DIRECTION

Since 2003:
Magnus Aronson (MAR)
Born in 1977, Mora, Sweden, Magnus Studied at the National
Film School in Beaconsfield, England, but quit. Has also been
a student of filmmaking and script writing in Denmark and
Sweden. Founded Tempography — that never-ending, everchanging
art project — together with Anthony Mirko
Bannwart in Herne Hill, South London, a disillusioned yet
hopeful December night in 2003.
Organized the first exhibition of Tempography out of Britain in
August 2006, at the Zita Cinema in Stockholm. 14 international
artists took part. Had a video exhibition at Jonas Kleerup
Gallery in Stockholm in September 2007, with the painter Paul
Freud (son of Lucian Freud).
He is currently in pre-production of a philosophical
documentary for Swedish TV about the suicide forest
Aokigahara in Japan, and the myths connected to it. Lives in
London-Paris. Resides temporarily in Stockholm.

Since 2003:
Hontoban / Anthony Bannwart (HON)
Studied in Switzerland, and in Germany until 1999, before
joining at 25 fine art in video and film at Central Saint Martins
College of Art & Design in London until 2003.
TEMPOGRAPHY, a conceptual video art project,
is simultaneously exhibited in 2004 on
multiple screens in 204 double-deck buses in London and in
Birmingham over two months continuously. Later in Stockholm
in 2006 at the cultural institution Zita and at the Jonas Kleerup Gallery.
2006, temporary return to Switzerland. Obtains funding and
support from institutions and foundations for his project ‘à ses
parents – VARIATIONS AUTOUR DE LE CORBUSIER’ based
upon notions of voluntary exile, offering, counter-offering,
patrimony, family relationship, and architecture. Directed by
himself in two Le Corbusier’s buildings and two cultural
institutions in his native town, it
was supported by the collaborations and participations of
young international artists, swiss scientists, and contemporary
art figures such as Louise Bourgeois and Felice Varini. A project leading
to his installation ‘Black Angle’s Poem’ the edition of a
hard-cover book, and a personnal future installation
encompassing the entire project.

His body of work reveals around 500 drawings, about
1000 pages of notes distributed in 6 “logbooks”, paintings,
snapshots, conceptual art project, all regularly interpreting a personal recognition of
Time. A singular practice invariably accompanied by video or
experimental film.

Since 2008:
Kyung Roh Bannwart (ROH)
A BFA graduate from Central St. Martins College of Art &
Design, Kyung Roh Bannwart explores the possibilities of
installation art. Combining the effects from different media
such as painting, sculpture, sound, light, and other objects, she
creates a structure, ‘the geometric place’ of emotional and
physical experiences.
Her latest interest is to integrate painting as an element into
installation art, combining it with moving image. Her recent
creative participations include, the exhibitions, ‘à ses parents
- Variations autour de Le Corbusier’ as a participating artist as
well as art director, ‘6 Via Neuchâtel’ exhibiting her painting
installations and ‘Pan!Dimanche’ in Paris, and experimental
book design projects, ‘Caravansérail’ and ‘Blanche de Nuit,
Lune en Noir’. She has also been involved in magazines, festivals,
graphic design for different companies and professionals in
London. For the Tempography exhibition in Gallery Factory
Seoul, she also contributed as a curator and
designer for this catalogue.
